Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section! At Mariana's Cleaning Services, we are dedicated to providing you with top-notch cleaning services that leave your space spotless and your mind at ease. We understand that you might have questions about our services, processes, and how we ensure your satisfaction.

This FAQ guide is designed to address common inquiries and provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions about our cleaning solutions.
Are you bonded and insured?

Mariana’s offers a worry-free home cleaning service solution. Most independent maid services are not insured, which makes homeowners liable. We are insured and bonded for your protection and ours.

When will your cleaners arrive to clean?

Please allow us the flexibility of scheduling the start time of our cleaning between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. We try to schedule our cleanings in an order that requires the least amount of travel time in an effort to maintain our prices and avoid trip fees. If you require an AM or PM clean time we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

Is there anything I should do before you arrive to clean?

The better your house is picked up, the better job we can do cleaning for you. Often putting clutter in a container before our visit is helpful. Getting things up off the floor by putting them on beds or the couch helps, too. If you just can’t get things organized before we come, no problem, just know we will clean what we can get to. It is also appreciated if you could make sure your pet is safe and secure before us come to clean. Also, if for some reason you do not want a particular room cleaned, please just leave a note or close the door of that particular room. Thanks!

Do I need to be home while my house is being cleaned?

No, but it is certainly your preference. Most of our customers aren’t home but the vast majority purchase a lockbox or trust us with a key and alarm code. If you do not provide us a key, and you are not home to let us in at their scheduled cleaning time, a lock-out charge may be applied.

What if I need to reschedule or skip my regular cleaning?

We realize that life gets busy and sometimes things happen requiring you to move things around. We ask that you please let us know at least 48 hrs. in advance, so we can change ours schedules or arrange for an alternative time and date for your cleaning. Late cancellations may incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Fees may apply if cleaning goes over a month without cleaning.

What if something is broken or damaged during a cleaning?

If something gets broken or damaged, our staff are trained to photograph it and report it immediately, without reprimand. They are careful and considerate of each space they attend, but every now and then accidents do happen. Once reported to the office, we contact you to discuss a fair and quick resolution. We do ask that any irreplaceable items are put away and anything you are concerned about is noted at the time of booking.

Can I provide special instructions for my cleaning technician?

We encourage it! Special instructions will enhance the cleaning experience you receive. However, it is very important you communicate any special instructions directly to the office so that we can place them in the permanent notes section of your file. This makes your notes available to any cleaning technician that may clean your home in the future, as well as a reminder for your regular cleaning technician.

Will you send the same cleaning technician each time?

We make our best efforts to send the same cleaning techs each time. It’s the most efficient but we do not guarantee it. We are managing both our staff and clients’ needs which are constantly in flux. If you are sent an alternate cleaning technician, our staff have access to detailed information about your preferences and requests to ensure consistency of our services.

When is payment due? How should I pay?

Payment is due on your regularly scheduled cleaning day. We accept cash (in an envelope written Mariana’s) zelle, venmo or check.
